Generally, there are 2 types of people who are interested in MLM. The people who want to make long-term residual income and the people who just want to make some extra money to get out of debt or have some extra spending money around the holidays. Both are good reasons to get involved in an MLM Home Based Business, however your intentions can really be important when you’re choosing the type of business you want to go into.
For instance if you just want to make some extra money you might want to think about joining an MLM Business that is very sales driven, something like Avon for example. Of course there are people who want to build serious businesses with those companies but for many people it’s just a way to make more money during college, or allow a stay-at-home mom to have more money to go shopping with. Most MLM opportunities, however, are less sales driven and more about building a team.
Many MLM Home Based Businesses don’t allow you to really make the big money until you start growing a team of your own. Of course selling the product is important but the idea is to sell a little bit of product to a lot of people (of course, many of those people would be just customers). Sometimes people join an MLM company to make a little extra money but when they see how fun and easy it can be, they want to start working from home full-time.
So make sure you choose an MLM opportunity that will allow you to grow with the company if you change your perspective somewhere down the road. The ideal MLM Home Based Business is a company that will give you up front bonuses or commissions in the beginning allowing you to earn some good money right from the start. As well as allow you to build a serious long-term residual income. By the way, this can only happen IF the company has high quality products at reasonable prices.
If you can find an MLM opportunity that will do those two things for you, hold onto it because it’s a good one!
Whatever your intentions are for wanting to join an MLM Home Based Business, just make sure you’re being honest with yourself about what you really want and you find a company that fits your vision.

You make some good points Aziz. I had never thought as companies such as Avon and Mary Kay as "sales driven" companies but it's true they don't put as much focus on building a team.
MLM is definately a fun business and not as hard as it seems. Especially compared to traditional businss.
