Setting Goals The Right Way In MLM Or Any Other Business

We all hear about the importance of setting goals and the importance of writing down your goals. So I am not going to try and sell you on the idea of setting goals. Hopefully, you already understand that setting goals is important if you want to succeed.

However, I will just say this here that the real purpose of setting goals is not to achieve the goals themselves. What! you must be thinking, what is this guy talking about! Let me explain, the real purpose and benefit of setting goals is to bring about life-long changes in YOU! You see, it's who you become by setting goals is the REAL benefit of setting goals. Hopefully, that makes sense to you.

Anyway, what I want to discuss here is how do you determine what your goals should be. One common mistake that most people make in setting goals is that they set them too high. They are thinking... What the heck, if I am going to set my goals, why not shoot for sky? After all, it doesn't cost anything extra to aim high.

Here's the problem, though, with setting your goals higher than what you sincerely believe you can achieve; You will not work hard enough to achieve them, because you DON'T believe you can do it.

You see, it is critical that you set goals that you BELIEVE you can achieve IF you work hard at it.

So you don't want to set goals that are too easy and don't make you stretch. At the same time, you don't want to set goals that you just can't BELIEVE you can achieve. Understand you have to be honest with yourself when you set your goals, no sense in trying to fool yourself here.

The best goals are those that scare you a little and force you to stretch, while being believable to you that you can achieve them if you go to work.

Success is like climbing a flight of stairs. You take it one step at a time, one goal at a time. If you keep climbing one step at a time, you will get to the top.
